The Juniors | De La Chapelle

Bringing up to date a 1930’s fashion to satisfy the tastes of today, Automobiles de la chapelle have, since 1979, been creating a rather different toy.

These superb reproductions are entirely hand built and crafted to the standards of quality on which the reputation of the marque has been founded.

There still exists in France small, traditional workshops which take pleasure in dedicated craftmanship, as was the case at the turn of the century, to provide our Young apprentice drivers with the maximum of pleasure. Driving at low and safe speed, their sensations are as intense as those felt by their elders at the wheel of the original model.

Little Big Mans

With a “Le Mans style” start just in front of the grandstands, the budding drivers from all over the world leap into their racing cars encouraged by a standing ovation from the public! These hundred or so mini replicas of the racing cars entered in the Little Big Mans are displayed in their own paddock specially dedicated to the kids, activities included.

The cars, produced in limited numbers or as one-offs, are powered by an internal combustion or electric engine and, for the most part, are faithful replicas of cars that have raced in the Le Mans 24 Hours. Among them are several Ferrari 330/P2s, Ford GT 40s, Chevrolet Corvettes, BMW 328s, Type 35 Bugattis, Porsche 550s, D-Type Jaguars, etc.

On saturday in the early afternoon, the young drivers set off for a lap of the Bugatti circuit after a Le Mans-type start. On Sunday, they get back behind the wheel to do a tour of the Le Mans Classic village. This event, which is great fun for young and old alike, will end with a prize giving ceremony in the village.
